| Bio: | This journal used to be strictly for friends only. Then I started making public entries a while back and feel more comfortable sharing my thoughts with more people. Feel free to friend me, or defriend me at will. I won't get upset either way. I just turned 40 years old, and that was kind of an emotional crisis for me. I'm not old yet, but I'm not young anymore either, so it's time to get my act together and make something of myself. I use the name Slave Driver becuase I'm into BD/SM, and my occupation currently is a taxi driver. I just started going to college 20 years after finishing high school. I am seeking a two year degree in Jazz Studies at the local community college here in New Orleans. I hope to transfer to a four year college upon completion of my associate's degree. I like to discuss contraversial issues. Feel free to dissagree with me if you wish, but please try not to flame me in my journal. Try to keep your dissagreements as civil as possible, and I will extend the same courtesy to you. *This is an update to my user info. I used to live in New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina hit. Ms Nev and I fled the storm and went to her parent's house in Madison Wisconsin. We stayed there for a couple of weeks and then moved out to Seattle. Why? Because we had been considering moving here anyway. Now that we're here we're not sure if we'll stay, or go back to New Orleans. That's not because we don't like Seattle, we do, it's gorgeous out here. The reason we may go back is because our landlord has informed us that our apartment was not flooded and didn't suffer any wind damage. So unless looters broke into the house, all our stuff should be sitting there much as we left it over a month ago now. Being away from New Orleans, I have discovered the place is in my blood. I need to go back and see what is going to happen to it. On the other hand, I've been doing a lot of mountain hiking out here and this place is starting to get its hooks into me too. Ultimately I would love to be able to spend about 7 months a year in New Orleans and 5 months a year in Seattle. I will have a license to drive a taxi in Seattle soon, and I still have a taxi license in New Orleans. So why can't I become bi-coastal and live in both places? | |
